Chenfei Qu
Postdoc
Bio: Chenfei Qu is a Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Global Policy Lab, Stanford University. She holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Climate Change Economics and a B.S. in Environmental Management, both from Tsinghua University. During her doctoral studies, she spent a short-term period as a visiting scholar at the ZEW–Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Germany.
Research: Chenfei's research focuses on the design and evaluation of climate and environmental policy instruments – in particular, emissions trading systems, renewable energy integration, and air pollution mitigation in developing countries. She develops and applies computable general equilibrium models and integrated modeling frameworks to assess the efficiency and distributional impacts of various policy design options by capturing interactions among energy, economic, and environmental systems. These works provide quantitative insights to inform effective and equitable energy and climate policymaking.
