Nicholas Depsky

PhD Fellow Alumni - Research Scientist at UNDP - HDRO

Bio: Nick is a research scientist at UNDP’s Human Development Report Office and holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group. His expertise includes climate impact modeling, geospatial analysis and adaptation policy. Past research has included assessing drought in Central America, evaluating the impacts of global sea level rise, and assessing climate-influenced human migration. He has directly supported environmental justice and carbon pricing policy in California and at the federal level, respectively, and has worked extensively in South America on watershed management and climate adaptation. After growing up in Los Angeles, he spent time living in Ghana and Colombia and is now based in NYC where he is enjoying the great music scene and doing his best to stay in touch with the natural world.
