Bio: Han Sheng Chia is Senior Fellow at the Global Policy Lab. He drives the "applied" arm of the lab, helping translate cutting edge research into policy guidance and implementation. Together with GPL's Co-Directors, he advises senior government and social sector leaders. He was previously Vice President of Innovation at GiveDirectly, where he advised governments in the DRC, Togo and Bangladesh on how to utilize artificial intelligence in social protection programs. He also has a background in humanitarian response, where he oversaw the delivery of more than $200M in cash transfers to half a million people during the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural disasters. 

Han Sheng is a graduate of Brown University and regularly lectures as part of the university's public policy concentration. He also holds an appointment as an expert at Keystone, a strategy and economics consulting firm.
